Description

For Sales Orders you can attach documents
For other items, like Incidents you can reference Sales orders as a Document

It does not appear that you can do the same with Invoices. Not sure if this is a setup option or a simple script customization or something much more involved

If there is CRM followup about an invoice without a sales order this would be helpful. It would also be helpful to attach supporting documents to invoices in some cases.

Tested in xTuple version 4.2.0 Alpha: Closing the issue

There was a request to add documents tab to Credit Memo and Debit Memo window. But, this won't work. You can, however, attach docs to PO and to Voucher in 4.2.

add Documents tab/widget to the following windows; bom, creditMemo, invoice, itemSource, miscVoucher, returnAuthorization, shipTo, transferOrder, and voucher.

also add functions id() and mode() to these windows to facilitate scripting.

Might be good while we're doing this to expose more capability to scripting so scripted appliactions can use this widget too.

We hear the requirement to add document tab EVERYWHERE, but we hear it the most as a requirement on Vouchers (Vendor Invoices) and Customer Invoices
