VAT tax

I am interested to use xTuple in Italy as already doing in USA.

More than the translation I am concerned with the possibility to configure xTuple to the italian tax rules.

The main issue is VAT tax (called IVA) needing specific calculation and reports, but also other aspects.

Italy is similar to other european countries all having VAT.

Is there any specific instruction to simplify the tax configuration to meet the requirements of specific countries?

I see that xTuple has many configurable options, what I don't know or should understand with long testing is what combination of them (if exists) can meet the requirements.

Any suggestion is appreciated.
