haxTuple Virtual Machines
The absolute easiest way to get started with an xTuple / Qt development environment is to download a pre-built virtual machine.
Here is a ZIP file with everything you need to run an Ubuntu Linux VM, with Qt, Postgres, all the source code, and even builds of the beta 1 release for comparison purposes.
It's a Sun (Oracle?) VirtualBox VM, so you'll need to download the VirtualBox software for the host operating system of your choice.
Please let us know if you have any problems with it.
(And if you're looking for the overall instructions on the haxTuple bug derby, you can find them here).
