Translate xTuple ERP

You need to be approved as a translator before you can begin editing language files. To become an approved translator, simply send an email request expressing your interest in translation. Once your request has been approved, you're ready to start translating.

To begin, simply select the Edit Language button. Or just click anywhere on the green bar graph. Either way, you will reach the page for editing language files. This web-based editing tool allows multiple translators to work on the same translation files at the same time. This collaborative approach has led to the rapid expansion of xTuple translation projects.

If you are familiar with Qt Linguist, the translation editor from Qt Software, you should have no trouble using the Translation Portal.

Starting a New Language File

If you want to translate the xTuple ERP application interface into a new language, we ask that you first translate a copy of the xTuple Phrase Book. The Phrase Book contains about 1,000 of the most commonly used words and phrases in xTuple ERP. Once the Phrase Book has been translated into your language, simply send the completed Phrase Book to us and we'll add the language to the Translation Portal.
