currency issue

hi,

please advise on the following

i have set the base currency as indian rupees as i suppose that all the default transactions would be in base currency, ( such as accounting applications ), now the list price mentioned in products-items corresponds to selling price which i want to be in dollars or euros etc. but the application is taking it in rupees and there is no option shown to change the currency of list price. please help

Hi, Prashant:

The Currency used at the point of sale is determined by the Customer in question. So, you define your List Prices in your base Currency. Then when you enter a Sales Order for a Customer who buys from you in a different Currency, your established Exchange Rates will determine the price for them in their Currency. You define the Currency a Customer uses on the Customer master.

Sales price list currency

Hi

Does this reply still reflect the way currencies work?

My base is NZD but my price list is in EUR and changes every 3 months. Of course the exchange rate changes more often so would I have to re-calculate the base currency price for each item every time the exchange rate changes?

There must be a better way...
