cvv-cvc storage
is there a reason there is no way to save the cvv / cvc numbers in the credit card info part of the customer info? it seemed like such an obvious omission that i thought i might be deliberate, so i thought i'd check here before submitting a feature request.

Yes, there is a reason not to store the CVV/CCV code - the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard says that storing it is not allowed. The code is intended to verify that the person giving the number actually has the card in hand.
