Accounting Package not working!!
Hello,
I have beenplaying with Xtuple for 4 months and my company is close to go live. Everything was working perfect, but suddenly the Accounting package stop working... I thought that maybe I had screw up something in the database, so I didn´t concern about it. Today I have created a new Database and I have imported with CSVimp all the info and I have realized that the Accounting Module is still not working. I´m about to go into panic!!!
Every I process in the different modules is not been reflected in the Accounting module: Inventory adjustments, Work Orders, Purchases.... Nothing!! The different docks from the Accounting Desktop don´t show anything, the General Ledger Transactions Window is blank,...
The Demo Database works perfect, so I have been compairing the setup option, the user preferences, the schemas,... of boths and I don´t see any variance.
Does anybody know what can be going on in my Database??

In the Accounting, setup - do you have the transaction posting set to GL or Journal?

Well I have one Data Base posting to GL and another that is not allowing me to change it (But is showing Journal). No One of them are working.
For the one that is set for journal, there is another step to post to the GL. Otherwise, you won't see any entries in the GL. You should see an option under general ledger, called "post journals to GL". You have to run that to see the entries in the GL. You should also check the global options under accounting setup. The inventory should be set to interface with the GL. You can start by checking those things.
Just to wrap this one up - there were some missing accounting period definitions on one of the databases - so added them correctly and everything worked as it should.
Also note, that this is 3.74 which allows these transactions to happen, and it's changed in the 3.8 series...
