xTuple ERP v3.6.0 on standalone postgreSQL

Hello,

I have a standalone postgreSQL v9.0 on my system and one server to store my all databases. I didn't want xTuple to create another server, so installed it without server and pgadmin. Than I created users and databases for xtuple manually and restored demo backup. Everything seems to work OK, but when I go to System > Design > Packages error comes up. I tried it on my current machine and vmware station- same result.
There are no issues if I choose to install server which comes with xTuple v3.6.0 installer.

Here's the screenshot of this issue:

PostgreSQL 9.0 is not yet

PostgreSQL 9.0 is not yet supported. There is a good chance that is your problem.

I'd say, it should be written

I'd say, it should be written somewhere. System requirements doesn't say anything about database compatibility.

Almost

Yes, something like this.
But it should be put in an easy to find place. This type of information should be given with the product and you shouldn't wander around searching for it. There should be a link on the main page called "requirements" like for all proper software. Even installer doesn't say anything about required postgreSQL version. I think it should give a warning that it only supports v8.4 because installer allows us to install xTuple without postgreSQL.
If you do not want to play with xtuple website or installer, you could update information on sourceforge website or put a .txt file with system and SQL requirements in app folder. As far as I see, I'm not the only one who asks "silly" questions about system requirements :)
