Thor,
Please supply a few more details:
What error message(s) do you get?
What version of the application (for that matter, which application) are you using to connect to the database?
Did you use one of the xTuple installers or did you download the example databases and restore them by hand?

Sam,
Are you using the postooks instalator? It should create the database.
Which SO are you using? There are some issues regarding permissions in some Windows versiosn. By the way, which version of Postgres are you using?
Sergio
I have downloaded and installed two postbooks 3.6.0 editions, one in my office computer and the other in my home computer. There are 3 ready databases installed by the postbooks 3.6.0. I try to learn and get experienced with the software in my home computer. I enter datas to the empty database, such as chart of accounts, costumers, items, etc. What I want to do is to copy this empty database which I entered datas in my home computer and take it to my office computer and use it in the office. I can not copy the database file, because I could not find where this database file is. How would I copy this database file to my office computer.
KIZILTAN,
There is comprehensive documentation on managing the database here:
http://www.xtuple.org/docs/admin-and-setup/general-information
I just downloaded the xTuple ERP postbooks version to evaluate. Unfortunately can't get past the login screen.
I have three options to login with the default being localhost/demo running on the local machine. Username and password are failing validation on both the localhost/demo option and on the "single-user demo with my xTuple web user" option.
Docs show a different login dialog with only two options but said to use the xtuple web username and password (same as I logged in here with). Doesn't work.
Was there a default username/password that I missed in the installation somewhere?
Wes
Kill post. I found the admin/admin
