Initial login problem

I just downloaded and installed xtuple_client-build_7953;
I tried to log in with username : admin , pwd:admin, server:localhost and data base: demo.
I get the following peoblem :

" Sorry , Can't connect to the specied xTuple ERP server. This may be a problem with user name, password, or server connection information.
Below is more detail on the connection problem:
could not connect to server: Connnectio (0x0000274D/10061)
Is the server running on host " localhost" and accepting TCP/IP connections on port 5432? "

Can some one help me how to proceed?

You've downloaded a nightly

You've downloaded a nightly (development) build of the xTuple client - and likely not a database at all.

Try downloading version 3.4.0 of the installer (http://sourceforge.net/projects/postbooks/files/01%20PostBooks-installer...). That will allow you to connect to a local PostBooks Edition database, or, if you have registered for a Hosted Demo on xtuple.org (http://www.xtuple.org/role_registration/Hosted_Demo), you can connect to a hosted version of the commercial Manufacturing Edition of xTuple ERP with the same client.
