Installing on my website

My partner and I are on the go, so I am thinking if I can install postbook to my web host so either one of us can always check and work online.

Even my computer can run this program, I think it should be alright. Wonder if it still works for a shared hosting on Linux.

Appreciate your patience as I am new to xTuple, and please be more deliberate or detailed in the feedback. I am not a technical guy.

Thanks in advance.

Xtuple is not a web app, it

Xtuple is not a web app, it is a desktop app, that's run in a client server model.

You can very easily though, allow for remote access through your firewall (port 5432 must be forwarded to your database server) and accomplish your task from any laptop with the Xtuple client and proper security credentials.

A vpn is a good idea too.
