Not quite sure you're on the right track -- you wouldn't set up a webserver for this, you'd set up the database (postgresql) server.

We are happy to consult

yvsrao,

There is a lot of information about how to set up PostgreSQL 8.3, the database you'll need to run xTuple ERP, in a server environment, here in our Installing the Database documents. There are also many forum threads that discuss the same issue, which you can find by searching this site.

The packaged installer we provide for PostBooks is a great way to evaluate the software, but we also caution that you may need some database experience if you want to move the database to a shared server. If you are trying to do something complex in a hosted environment and you don't have some Postgres knowledge, the free resources we provide may not be the most efficient way for you to proceed, especially if you are not interested in reading the docs and training yourself on the product.

We are here to help! We offer a bundle of Expert Consulting Hours that can help get you through the installation and connection issues. Depending on the size of your business, it can be a bargain compared to spending days or weeks of your own time to accomplish the same thing.

Well, lot's of things for you

Well, lot's of things for you to learn then. Start off by getting familiar with postgresql and setting up databases, networking etc. from www.postgresql.org

Once you've got the server part sorted out, then the xtuple part is easier.

Who Own's Your WebServer?

My server is hosted by godaddy.com and this kinda question I think would best be answered by your web hosting provider. Usually extras need to be paid for.

Hope this helps!!!
