How to enable Spanish in Postbooks

Hi Guys,

I see that you have worked for the translation into Spanish ... but, how can I see the Spanish translation in the program? I looked at system -> Preferences but it's deemed so NO luck!

I don't see any other place where I can enable the translation.

Please tell me how to do it.

Thanks a lot.

That's great, edu. If you want to start working with the sp.ts file on SourcForge, that is the latest and greatest version available. Simply start translating any fields that haven't been translated yet. Then send us your work as an attachment to pbhelp@xtuple.com when you have some of it done. We will incorporate your updates into the SVN repository.

If you don't already have a copy of Qt Linguist, you can get a copy for your operating system from the Downloads section of our website:

http://www.xtuple.org/?q=node/2077

The Qt Linguist download includes a User Guide with useful tips for getting started.

Best regards,
Pierce

Re: How to enable Spanish in Postbooks

Hi, edu:

The Spanish translation is still "in process" so we do not have a finished release (.qm file) yet. However, if you want to see what we have so far (about 80%) you can download the most current .ts file at the following location:

http://postbooks.svn.sourceforge.net/vi ... s?view=log

You can then convert the .ts file to a .qm file using Qt Linguist. (PostBooks needs the .qm file to load the translation.) The conversion and loading process is all described in a translation video we put together. You can find the video tutorial here:

http://www.xtuple.com/demo/video_files/1000_qtling.html

If you are interested in helping us finish the translation, please let us know. We are hoping to get the final 20% done soon.

Best regards,
Pierce
