Scripting Guide

With version 3.0 of the xTuple Application we have added support for QtScript. QtScript provides us with a way to load UI forms using ECMAScript, also known as JavaScript, based language files for creating and modifying application functionality without the need to recompile. To take advantage of this functionality, one should have a basic understanding of how to program using ECMAScript and create UI screens using QtDesigner.

comments vs. forums

Hi muralipk,

Thanks for your notes. We're going to move these to the forums, which are a better fit for questions and answers. "Comments" on documentation are intended to be brief expansions or addenda to the documentation itself - e.g. "here's something that worked in my project."

We'll move your first note to the "How do I" forum, and the second to "Internationalization."

Thanks,
Ned
